Kenneth & Sara

I was excited to design the invitations for Kenneth and Sara's wedding, because Sara is my little sister. :) They wanted to keep costs down, so we used ivory metallic paper and textured card stock for the invitations, but opted for regular card stock for the RSVP and directions cards to save money. Here is a peek at the designs...

For the invitation we went with a simple design but added some fun with the bright coral paper and the black and ivory polka dot ribbon.

The programs tied in nicely with the invitations with the same color scheme of coral, ivory, and black. I used cream card stock, along with the same coral card stock that was used for the RSVP and directions cards. Another way to keep costs down.

I really liked working with this layout because it fit more information on the inside than the traditional greeting card format.

Sara and Kenny enjoy wordsearch and crossword puzzles, so they requested that I make these to entertain guests at the reception. They were customized with questions and words about the bride and groom, such as "The month Kenneth proposed" and "A sport that both Sara and Kenneth played in high school." The wordsearch and crosswords were printed on coral card stock and added a nice pop of color on the ivory tablecloths.

About Designs by Krista

Welcome to my blog! I recently started my own business designing custom wedding invitations, save-the-dates, programs, etc. I work out of Indiana but can work with anyone over the phone and through email. If you would like to schedule an appointment to discuss the stationery for your wedding, email me at kristaranous@hotmail.com.

About Designs by Krista
I have always enjoyed being creative and coming up with unique designs. When I was little I experimented with glitter, markers, and stencils to make cards for family and friends. As I got older I enjoyed using the computer to design cards and invitations. Now I like to combine my skills to help brides come up with custom wedding stationery that is unique and a reflection of who they are.

Pricing
Because my designs are custom, every project differs in price depending on the type of paper, ink, and ribbon, or other extras that you choose. To give you a general idea, a basic set that includes an invitation, response card, reception card, and envelope, printed on standard card stock, will cost around $2. Not only is this much cheaper than competitors, but this is a custom design that no one else will have.

Process
Our first consultation is free and will take place by email, phone, or in person. We will discuss your overall design theme (colors, flowers, etc.). You can bring pictures of designs you like, and I will also show you some designs I have created to give you some ideas.

After our first consultation and after receiving a $50 deposit (which will later be applied to your order), I will come up with several different designs and will either email them to you or meet you in person. You will then pick one that you like, I will make any needed revisions, and will send you a final copy of the design. After I receive a final approval of the design, I will ask you to sign a contract and make your final payment. After this is received, I will begin printing and assembling the invitations. The invitations will then be shipped either to you or to your guests at an additional charge.
